1st Dan Black Belt · 8 Years Training · Started in Ninja Skillz · Perseverance Personified
Meet Prisha Patel โ 13 years old, 1st Dan Black Belt, and one of the most dedicated students our dojang has ever had the pleasure of teaching. Prisha's journey began the way so many great stories do: she walked through the door as a tiny five-year-old into our Ninja Skillz programme, tried it, loved it, and never looked back.
Eight years later, Prisha stands proudly as a Black Belt 1st Dan โ a rank that represents years of hard work, sacrifice, and an unshakeable commitment to improvement. Her journey from Ninja Skillz to Black Belt is a testament to what is possible when a young person truly commits to something and keeps showing up, week after week, year after year.
Prisha's favourite technique is the reverse side kick or head body punch, her favourite pattern is Dan Gun, and she has identified sparring as her biggest challenge โ and her biggest achievement has been earning that Black Belt. Her next goal? To continue growing and become more confident. That kind of self-awareness is rare, and it is exactly what makes Prisha special.
"Focus โ it gets difficult so it's important to keep going."

Prisha is one of those students who makes you incredibly proud to be an instructor. I remember her as a tiny five-year-old in Ninja Skillz โ full of energy, always smiling, always trying her best. To watch her grow over eight years into the confident, capable Black Belt she is today has been an absolute privilege.
What stands out most about Prisha is her perseverance. Taekwondo is not always easy โ there are difficult days, challenging gradings, and moments of self-doubt. But Prisha has always come back, always pushed through, and always found a way forward. That quality โ that refusal to give up โ is what separates those who earn a Black Belt from those who don't.
She started in Ninja Skillz and she earned her 1st Dan. That journey tells you everything you need to know about Prisha Patel. She has thanked her training mates and her seniors โ and I want to say on behalf of all of us: the dojang is a better place because of you, Prisha.
It is my honour to name Prisha our June 2026 Student Spotlight. Keep growing, keep training, and keep inspiring the students who are just starting their journey โ just like you once were.
