Train together as a family on the official TAGB syllabus — from complete beginner to Black Belt and beyond.
Our Family Taekwondo classes follow the official TAGB (Tae Kwon Do Association of Great Britain) syllabus — Europe's largest single martial arts organisation. Children from age 5 and adults of all ages are welcome, and parents are actively encouraged to train alongside their children.
Classes are split into Beginner/Intermediate and Intermediate/Advanced levels, so whether you're stepping on the mat for the first time or working towards your next Dan grade, there's a class for you.
The training is non-violent, focusing on physical and emotional control, fitness, flexibility and practical self-defence. Competition and grading are always optional — the main focus is that you enjoy yourself and improve at your own pace.
These are the behavioural goals that guide everything we teach — helping young people and adults be and do their best, both on and off the mat.
Respect for others, politeness and consideration in all we do.
Honesty, strong moral principles and doing the right thing.
Never giving up, working through difficulty to achieve your goals.
Managing emotions and actions — on the mat and in everyday life.
An unconquerable will — the courage to face any challenge.
There are ten coloured belts to achieve before grading for Black Belt. The minimum training time to reach Black Belt at Train Taekwondo Schools is 5 years — but every step of the journey is rewarding in itself.
Improve cardiovascular fitness, strength, flexibility and coordination. Keeping active has never been this much fun.
Confidence built through achievement — every belt earned, every technique mastered builds genuine self-belief.
Learn real self-defence skills — blocks, kicks, punches and restraints — that you can use if you ever need to.
Skills that carry directly into the classroom and workplace. Better concentration, better results.
Train side by side with your children. Share the journey, celebrate the achievements together.
The TAGB holds tournaments throughout the year. Compete if you want to — but there's never any pressure.
