4th Kup — TAGB (ITF) Taekwondo
Congratulations, Blue Belts! 👊 Earning Blue Belt is a major milestone, and now it's time to take your next step: Red Stripe. This stage of your Taekwondo journey focuses on refining technique, building power, and developing advanced control, while demonstrating a deeper understanding of TAGB (ITF) principles.
At Red Stripe level, your patterns, combinations, and sparring skills become more challenging. Strong stances, sharp blocks and strikes, precise timing, good balance, and controlled movement are essential. Grading examiners will be looking for consistency, focus, and the ability to perform techniques with intent and confidence.
🚨 Increased Training Commitment
Progressing toward higher belts requires dedication. Training once a week is no longer sufficient. To succeed at Red Stripe, aim for at least two to three sessions per week. Additional training develops technique, fitness, confidence, and prepares you for the advanced skills required at Red Belt.
🥊 Sparring Steps Up
Sparring becomes more technical at Red Stripe. You will be expected to demonstrate better timing, distance, combinations, and control under pressure. Regular sparring practice will build confidence, awareness, and the skills needed for higher grades and future competitions.
Use the grading video provided to support your training at the club. Practice alongside your regular classes to polish techniques, build confidence, and understand exactly what will be expected on grading day.
Stay consistent, focus on quality, listen to your instructor, and embrace the challenge — this is where Taekwondo starts shaping you into an advanced practitioner. 🥋❤️
