Getting Ready to Grade

6th Kup — TAGB (ITF) Taekwondo

Welcome, Green Belts! 👊 Reaching Green Belt is a big achievement, and now the journey really starts to step up. This stage of your Taekwondo training is about increasing technical accuracy, power, and confidence, while showing a stronger understanding of TAGB (ITF) Taekwondo.

As you prepare for your Blue Stripe grading, the syllabus begins to expand and techniques become more challenging. Strong stances, sharp blocks and strikes, good balance, and controlled movement are essential. Just as important are your focus, discipline, and attitude — consistency and effort will make a huge difference at this level.

🚨 Training Commitment Is Key
If your goal is to progress all the way to Black Belt, training once a week is no longer enough. Now is the ideal time to upgrade to an unlimited membership and train at least twice per week. More training means better technique, improved fitness, stronger confidence, and faster progress through the grades.

🥊 Sparring Is Coming
Sparring will be included in the next grading, so it's very important to start sparring now if you haven't already. Regular sparring will help you develop timing, control, confidence, and awareness — all essential skills for higher grades and future competitions.

Below is a grading video to help support your training at the club. Use it alongside your regular classes to revise your techniques, build confidence, and understand exactly what will be expected of you on grading day. Remember, progress comes from consistent practice, focus, and a positive mindset.

Train hard, commit to your training, listen to your instructor, and embrace the challenge — this is where Taekwondo really starts to level up! 🥋💙
